What is the deadline date where Merchants will not be able to process live transactions if they are still on TLS 1.0 or 1.1?
triPOS Cloud and Mobile do not require action (unless the end user is using an old version of iOS or Android and then they will need to update their OS).
For triPOS Direct:
Install triPOS Direct 5.14.2* or higher to automatically force the use of TLS 1.2 without any additional modifications.
*It was previous mentioned that 5.14.1 would automatically force TLS 1.2, a bug has been corrected and all integrators should upgrade to 5.14.2 or follow steps 2 or 3.
Update Windows Registry using .reg file to use SchUseStrongCrypto value for TLS 1.2. See https://github.com/ElementPS/tls-upgrade for instructions.
The PCI SSC has stated June 30th, 2018 as the deadline. However, this deadline may vary based on processor and platforms. Vantiv Integrated Payments, now Worldpay has two primary platforms Express and MercuryPay. The production dates have not been determined yet as we are re-evaluating our original release dates.
Do you know what solution your payment application is integrated to (i.e. Datacap dsiEMVUS, triPOS Direct, Hosted Payments, etc.)? The type of integrated solution will also determine the course of action that needs to be taken.
You can follow Upcoming TLS 1.2 Express and MercuryPay Platform Changes as we continue to announce impact and release dates.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Our Merchants are using triPOS, what course of action is needed for them to be able to process live transactions on TLS 1.2?
