We are testing the Vantiv in Prelive Enviroment with the Prelive Login details which is shared by Vantiv and this is the URL which we are using for testing https://payments.vantivprelive.com/vap/communicator/online.
After entering the payment details and on processing we are getting the error message as "Failed to connect to payments.vantivprelive.com port 443: Timed out". Could you guys help us what is the problem and how to fix it.
But if we use the URL as https://transact.vantivprelive.com/vap/communicator/online it is working. Also could you guys tell us what is the environment which we need to test in the prelive enviroment.

Thank you for your question.
When connecting to payments.vantivprelive.com this requires IP addresses to be whitelisted in our firewall before you can process transactions. Where as the https://transact.vantivprelive.com/vap/communicator/online URL is our Open Access endpoint that does not require IPs to be whitelisted. The Open Access URL should be used if your IPs are dynamically generated or work in a cloud based solution where you will not or cannot have static IPs. In order to use the other URL, it requires static IPs to be whitelisted.
Testing occurs in our prelive environment and both of these URLs point to this environment.
