I do not know if this is the right area, but thought I would try posting on here. We have an ISC250 touch and are looking to develop a way to have the customers input their email address and to be on our mailing list. We are hoping the input would then be able to be stored in out customer database on our intranet. Our intranet is programmed using php/mysql. We currently use the ISC250 with our POS software that uses a TriPOS API service for its calls. This prompt would be separate from our POS system, as our system is quite ancient and doesn't facilitate the input such customer information for marketing purposes.
I confirmed with testing that the input endpoint referenced below is strictly for numeric entry and cannot accept non-numeric characters or symbols (for example @Worldpay.com). It is possible that the data PromptType may have this capability, unfortunately I believe it is only possible for CXPI devices.
At this time, I do not believe that the iSC250 unit used with the triPOS API can accept this type of entry format.
