We are planning our migration to Dynamic Distribution and have a question about how we can phase in the new processes.
In PayFac_Dynamic_Payout_FAQ_V1.6.pdf it states
Question: Can I use Dynamic Payout to distribute funds to only a portion of my portfolio of sub-merchants and pay other sub-merchants using a different method? Answer: No. If you elect to use Dynamic Payout, you must use it for your entire portfolio of sub-merchants.
When it states the entire portfolio what does it mean? We currently have several chains. Could we switch dynamic distribution on, one chain at a time? Could we establish a unique chain and move over the merchants in a controlled fashion so that we can implement the new process in phases in that new chain?
We are processing our transactions through core. We will be implementing ACH processing through eComm for these same set of customers so were planning to dual enroll them in both platforms.
Your description of your options are in line with what can be done. You can choose to move one chain at a time or switch to a new chain. There are some implications with whichever route you choose to go, so please reach out to your contact internally to begin a deeper dive on the process.
