Hello, I have megtek uDynamo card reader device by that i am receiving card data but that data is encrypted how can i send that data to your(Vantiv) Payment gateway to charge that card. Or i have to decrypt that card data before sending on your server for charge amount ? Any suggestions please help me ?
Hello Karanveer,
Vantiv has a few different platforms to integrate your payment software. So, to give you specifics, we will need to identify the solution you are looking to integrate first.
That said, generally speaking, our encryption logic works by encrypting all sensitive card data at the point of entry (swiped, key entered, NFC and EMV insert). Depending on the solution, you may get an encrypted block of data back that can be used in place of track data or we will manage the encrypted data on your behalf and send it to our server (this is a semi-integrated solution). When you post your payment request, our servers will decrypt the card data and post for authorization and in most cases (if you support it), we will return a token for future payment calls specific to that card.
We do support MagTek hardware with encryption, but each processing platform supports a different encryption protocol and uses different keys.
Please let me know if you would like to discuss this further and I'd be happy to coordinate a chat with one our TechLift team members to get you integrating down the right path.
Regards,
Chris
