Can you explain/define each token provider and provide use cases for each?
I noticed the following token providers:
Null = 0
ExpressPASS = 1
OmniToken = 2
Paymetric = 3
TransArmor = 4
Below is an explanation of our different tokenization services. For PayFacs integrating on Express using triPOS, PASS will be the solution your team will utilize. Let me know if you need further clarification.
Payment Account Secure Storage (PASS) (aka Transform Tokenization)
This is our proprietary tokenization solution on the Element Express platform. The methods used with this tokenization product are included below and fully outlined in our interface specification at https://www.vantiv.com/content/dam/vantiv/developers/Express-Interface-Specification.pdf:
Paymetric Tokenization (Paymetric is a third-party tokenization provider)
This is the Paymetric (third-party) tokenization solution that allows Element Express clients to be able to create a Paymetric token for use only on their platform (separately from the Element Express platform). The methods used with this tokenization product are included below and fully outlined in our interface specification at https://www.vantiv.com/content/dam/vantiv/developers/Express-Interface-Specification.pdf:
TransArmor Tokenization (this is First Data's tokenization solution)
For clients where our Element Express platform is acting as a gateway to the First Data host, we can support the ability to flag an Authorization or Sale transaction to request a TransArmor token (assuming the client has signed up for this service with First Data). The token will then be returned in the Authorization or Sale response. Note that this token is not used on the Element Express platform, as it can only be used on the First Data platform.
OmniToken (Vantiv enterprise tokenization solution)
OmniToken will be Vantiv's enterprise-wide tokenization solution allowing for clients to share tokens across all Vantiv platforms (Vantiv core platforms, Litle platform, Mercury platform, and Element Express platform). It is not yet available on the Express platform and is a product currently targeted for release sometime in 2017.
