One of the reasons why we decided to purchase VeriFone Mx915 was the "video display". I am disappointed by current solution - place a custom TEXT in triPOS.config for "pinPadIdleMessage". Well, I want a VIDEO, or at least an IMAGE with our logo.
Can you help with a solution?

At this time, the idle message is the only option available within triPOS. We do hope to add additional functionality such as images and videos, but at this time they are not part of our 2016 road map.

Can a developer integrate directly to the Mx915 SDK to manage video and text displays outside of triPOS?
Yes, a developer can integrate directly to the device, but that would require them also doing their own integration to the processor as well for EMV certification which can be very costly and time consuming.
Even if they are not touching the controls to the payment details that tripos manages?
Say for instance I want to integrate to the device to show an ad on the screen during idle. Once I'm ready to start a payment I release control of the device and let tripos take over the payment interaction.

That is a great question!
Right now triPOS fully controls the device through the entire process, even while it is idle, so that is not an option at this time.
This is something we have been asking for and my understanding is that support for a single image on the pin pad is coming soon, with maybe multiple images and video support to follow.

Support for a custom idle logos on the Verifone Mx915 and Verifone Mx925 is in triPOS version 5.9 which will be released in a few weeks. The development work for custom idle logos on the Ingenico devices is slated for the end of the year, and should be released in early 2017.
This is 2017 and if I understand correctly the displays on the CC term screen can't be changed?

There actually is a way with triPOS Distributed versions 5.9 or greater to use an image for the Mx915/925.
*note that it is not yet available with triPOS Mobile or Cloud
For the Mx915 you will need to follow these instructions:
1) Place your logo (a 480x272 JPEG) in the triPOS Service folder.
2) Reference the logo within the triPOS.config file like this:

3) Save your changes to the triPOS config file and restart the triPOS service. The changes should push out to the device
and you should see your logo on the screen after the PIN Pad has successfully rebooted.
The directions for the 925 are identical, but the dimensions are 800x480.
