Hi. We've built a WordPress site and we're using Woocommerce for the shop component. My client has informed me they use Vantiv in their brick & mortar store to process card payments, so they'd like to use Vantiv to process Woocommerce payments too.
My questions:
1. Other than adding the Vantiv Woocommerce add-on, what do we need to do to get the website processing payments through Vantiv?
2. What information do I need from my customer to set this up (they don't know much about Vantiv, and I know nothing about it).
3. They currently use Quickbooks for accounting, and mentioned that Vantiv and Quickbooks work together (although they couldn't elaborate on how this is done). If we run payments through Woocommerce > Vantiv, does this tie in with my customer's existing Vantiv > Quickbooks setup?
Hi Dave,
1. Other than adding the Vantiv Woocommerce add-on, what do we need to do to get the website processing payments through Vantiv?
CMJ - We will need to confirm the brick and mortar merchant account first. This will tell us what platform the merchant is running on, Vantiv Core or Vantiv Integrated Payments (Express or MercuryPay). Then we can determine what solution to use and possibly what WooCommerce plug-in.
2. What information do I need from my customer to set this up (they don't know much about Vantiv, and I know nothing about it).
CMJ - we will need their brick and mortal account number. Feel free to message me privately or email me directly. Please do not post in this forum. Then we can speak with the merchant to setup an eCommerce account.
3. They currently use Quickbooks for accounting, and mentioned that Vantiv and Quickbooks work together (although they couldn't elaborate on how this is done). If we run payments through Woocommerce > Vantiv, does this tie in with my customer's existing Vantiv > Quickbooks setup?
CMJ - I cannot say for certain, we have several Quickbook plug-ins that POS developers utilize. Once we know the account, we will be able to determine what POS application they are using and how that integration to QB works.
Hope this helps and I look forward to hearing from you.

Chris
