Does this hold true for the TriPOS Cloud platform?
Yes it does.
These values are specific to the test credentials that are being used.
Vantiv test credentials are used whenever testing EMV.
Wondering if you could help me with the terms "Visa 07", "MC 01", "Disc 05", "Amex 02". I was trying to cross reference these with my test cards and those listed on https://developer.vantiv.com/docs/DOC-3768.
Basically in running tests with a set of EMV Vantiv branded test cards I have (Visa ending 0076, MC ending 0681, Disc ending 0059, Amex ending 006) I'm not able to trigger some of the EMV responses. Am wondering if perhaps I need an updated set of cards? I seem to be totally fine on triggering responses using swipe cards.
Also looks like for me when triggering the Host Errors the Code is actually 1009 not 1002.
Anyways any help here explaining would be great! Thanks for the doc!
I believe I was able to determine my above question by examining the cardHolderName value displayed in the log. As a recommendation I would suggest that the value be printed physically on the test cards to avoid confusion. All my EMV cards simply have the name printed as "Test Card" rather than for example "Test Card 07" or "Visa 07" to clarify which EMV card I was using. The document is less useful if you don't know what card to use.
Related... I am still without the ability to initiate certain triggers which I should be able to trigger according to the above document using EMV Vantiv MC 01 (ending 0681). I will, however, submit a ticket especially for those specific instances. In the event someone else reads this and wishes to verify the same trigger issues with EMV Vantiv MC 01 the specific instances I seem unable to trigger properly are:
EMV Vantiv (MC 01) – MasterCard $1.00 HOST APPROVES, CARD DECLINES CARD DECLINES (receiving an approval)
EMV Vantiv (MC 01) – MasterCard (PIN bypass) $1.00 HOST APPROVES, CARD DECLINES CARD DECLINES (receiving an approval)
EMV Vantiv (MC 01) – US Maestro (PIN bypass) $31.00 0 / APPROVED 00 (receiving a decline)
I do believe the Vantiv branded test cards that you have are outdated.
You're implementations consultant will be able to provide you with a new set.
If you are not sure who your assigned IC is, please feel free to contact email@example.com and request a new set of test cards.
