The Address Verification Service (AVS) Only transaction may be used by the merchant to determine whether to accept a transaction. This type of transaction only returns AVS information and does not request authorization. The format of the AVS information is exactly the same as that used for the CreditCardSale transaction except that the transaction amount should be set to $0. Also, it is necessary to provide address information (Billing Address and Zip code).
